Sue Shafer has been Manager of Educational Services at the Tribune Chronicle for 15 years and in the past several years has coordinated the newspaper's community events. She is the primary force behind the Tribune Chronicle's Trumbull County Make-A-Difference Day, which was recognized as one of the Top 10 volunteer projects in the U.S., and earned $20,000 in grants to help needy people in the community. She is an important cog in the Tribune Chronicle/Forum Health Fitness Challenge, which has raised tens of thousands of dollars for local charities and is recognized around the state as a model communitywide health project. A Kent State University graduate, she is married and has two young adult children. |
