I am a reporter for Page One. I attend Southington Chalker High School. I am 15. Last year, I joined Drama Club. I am a drummer for Chalker's marching, concert, and pep band and for Otterbein United Methodist Church's praise band. One of my most favorite things to do is write. My longest novel is over 300 pages. I have had at least 10 poems and two short stories published in anthologies. Last February, I won Scholastic's Writing Magazine, Take Five essay contest. Teens nation-wide entered. My story, "Worthless", my picture, and my biography, was published in their April/May issue of Writing. Someday, I hope to become a novelist. I also love to read. The top three books on my list would have to be the Big Empty series by J.B. Stephens, Jesus by Walter Wangerin Jr., and House by Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker.
I must add that most of my hobby time involves church. If I
am not attending it, my best friend and I are plotting silly,
harmless attacks on our pastor's office furniture. Just one
more way to spread the word of Christ, right? I also count the
offering money and make the phone calls for our praise band.
Not to mention that I have the best fami My musical styles come from the non-profit, Christian radio station Air 1 (the greatest station on the planet!), 90.9, and from the sounds Relient K. My favorite song is a tie between "Over Thinking" and "The One I'm Waiting For," both by Relient K. My favorite restaurant would have to be either Cici's Pizza or Sunrise on Fridays (their mac & cheese rocks!). Unlike 3/4 of the Page One staff, I am athletic. I play volleyball and softball for my school, and any backyard sport is welcome in my backyard. And if you are athletic, you might be welcome in my backyard, also. |
