Coviello is a part-time journalism instructor at YSU and the
director of the Tribune's teen journalism program, four times
rated the No. 1 teen journalism program in the United States. He
is the adviser to Page One, the Tribune's teen section, which
was twice rated No. 1 in the U.S. He is on the board of
directors for the Tri-County Journalism Associati Mr. Coviello's civic journalism projects include founding the Rock Off, an annual battle of teen bands that has raised more than $10,000 for Tod Children's Hospital; and founding the Fitness Challenge, an annual weight-loss competition that has raised more than $30,000 for local charities. He also helped start the One Book Two Counties literacy project in which thousands of residents in Trumbull and Ashtabula counties read the same book and engage in community discussion. Page One's Guy Coviello, co-founder of the Youth Editorial Alliance and a member of the Newspaper Association of America Foundation's Youth Services Committee, tops the Tribune Chronicle Speakers Bureau list and is available to speak to journalism classes or newspapers staffs and work with journalism instructors.
